We are a family owned business and have been serving Powhatan, Virginia and the surrounding area since
1983.
Gene has 35 years of dairy and farming
experience. Gene was raised on a dairy farm in Newport News, VA. before moving the
dairy to Powhatan in 1968. Even though he no longer dairies, he
sells freezer beef and enjoys his herd of beef
cattle. His farming experience has given him first hand
knowledge of .....

- construction of barns and building materials
- farm equipment and tractors
- animal husbandry
Gene enjoys watching sports and he has retired from pitching fast-pitch softball with the local church and
county teams.

Pat was raised on a dairy farm in the Shenandoah
Valley of Virginia. She graduated from Eastern
Mennonite High School and attended Eastern Mennonite University. She has been actively involved in the management and running of
the store since it's beginning. She enjoys cooking,
working on her computer (and is the webmaster/designer of this site and their
church website, Powhatan Mennonite Church), writing
and has written a book on her family history (The story of Melvin & Molly
Heatwole). Being a grandma is great fun and provides inspiration for some of
her writing. (From a Grandma's Perspective)
She also edits their church newsletter. Pat is a avid gardener and enjoys raising
flowers and having a variety of animals around, particularly chickens.

Angie Miller - Counter Sales
 
Angie works full-time. Angie, Kayla (age 13), and Trey (age 6)
live in Powhatan. Angie enjoys training 2-yr.
olds. She has showed halter, barrel raced and rides Western.. The
Millers moved here from Texas where they had lived for 5-1/2
years. This was coming home for Angie as she grew up in western Goochland
County.

Zach Baggett - Delivery and Counter Sales
Zach is our delivery man. He also helps
behind the counter or wherever he is needed. Zach is a fun-loving guy who enjoys team roping,
breaking horses, and hunting. He attended Powhatan High School.
 Keith Cox
Keith is assistant manager at Food Lion and helps us part-time
during our busy seasons.
