Enviro-Blend Tall Fescue Blend
--Pennington Seed
| A blend of three different turf type tall fescues, Enviro-Blend
produces lower and slower growing grass plants requiring less mowing, thus
generating fewer clippings. The lawn needs less watering and
irrigation after establishment. Enviro-Blend establishes fast and
produces a dark green, fine bladed, tense turf. University and
private tests indicate improved disease resistance, especially to
"Brown Patch". Its resistance to insects and drought are
two other features homeowners will welcome. Another benefit to the
homeowner is that each Enviro-Blend seed has been coated with the Penkoted
seed treatment. The Penkoted treatment is an exclusive Pennington
Seed process which consists of completely coating each seed with a liquid
formula of active ingredients, to stimulate deeper root growth. The
coating is time-released into the soil as needed to help protect each
seedling from soil born diseases and insects. The coating also makes
the seed less attractive to birds.
Seeding Rate:
- New Lawns: 8-10 lbs./1000 sq. ft. or 200 lbs./acre
for new lawns
- Overseeding: 3-5 lbs/1000 sq. ft.
