Choose from 14 prepackaged kits. By utilizing our component XT corral panel, stall panel, 12' open support brace, shelter package and roof connector, the sky's the limit!

The Horseman's Choice Shelter System has been engineered to be a very strong and versatile addition to your horse operation. This is a unit that can be added to and expanded as your needs change. The Horseman's Choice Shelter system is considered a "portable shelter". Because it is not permanent, it can be built in most areas without a building permit and in many areas it is not taxable for the same reason. Check with your local authorities to determine regulations in your area.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Horseman's Choice Shelter System will work only with Behlen Country 12' XT Corral Panels and Horseman's Choice 12' Stalls. Any substitution with other equipment may not work and will void all warranties. Roof sheeting, ridge caps, roof screws or wood IS NOT PROVIDED.

All shelter packages are sold with 2" Butterfly clamps (Item No. 44900067. . 2 complete butterflies with bolts & nuts) included. If you assemble a system from component parts, you must order butterfly clamps separately. Each stall corner and each connection between corral panels requires a pair of connectors. XT panels come with chain hookups but butterfly clamps make a more sturdy connection.

Horseman's Choice Stall panels are shipped without wood. Each stall panel comes with a chart that explains how to cut the wood. Behlen Stall panels will accept any 2" planed lumber...2" x 6", 2" x 8", etc.

When properly installed with 29 ga. or heavier sheeting, provides a 40 psf ground snow load, 90# wind load.

Anchor Kits are not standard and must be ordered separately.

Shelter Framing Package Add-on

For second unit, bolts to Shelter Framing Package, uses common beam. Includes beams, purlins, uprights, butterfly clamps, nuts and bolts.

NOTE: In a row of shelters, you would buy one Shelter Framing Package (76110678) and from that point on, you would buy all Add-ons (76110708). If you placed two shelters facing each other with a breezeway between them, you would have to buy 2 Shelter Framing Packages and two 6' Center Roof Connectors.

6' Center Connector - Item No. 76110688
This item makes a 6' piece that joins two shelters which are set up facing each other with a 12' breezeway in between. For a pair of shelters, you would buy two 6' Center Connectors. For each additional pair you would buy one more.
Six foot Center Connectors are not used unless you are setting up pairs of shelters facing each other with a breezeway between them.

All Shelters should be anchored in undisturbed soil. Each package contains 4 anchors and chain.
2" Butterfly Clamps - Item No. 44900067
One package contains 2 complete clamps with bolts & nuts. The Shelter Package comes with clamps. However, if you wish to attach an XT pen to your shelter, you may use the chain hookups, which are standard, or the optional butterflies which offer a more secure connection. Each connection requires a pair of clamps (one package).
