In the field the hay is baled into large bales where they are stored until they are processed for shipping. 

At the processing plant they are cut and compressed into smaller bales and strapped.  

 Depending on the type of hay and batch the bales may vary from 60-70 lbs.

The hay is stacked on pallets in cubes of 18 bales and shrink wrapped. 

 This aids in shipping and preserving of quality.
