August 2002 From a Grandma's Perspective... . is a collective of meditative thoughts/devotionals written by Pat Hertzler. These devotionals have been inspired by my beloved granddaughters and are a work in progress. Enjoy and may God bless you.
Viv is a busy homemaker and mother. She enjoys playing volleyball, quilting and shopping for antiques. Viv loves children and has worked as a nanny. She was born in Virginia Beach but grew up in the plains of central Ohio near Rosedale Bible Institute. She met Keith while he was a student there and she was visiting a friend on campus. They were married April 20, 1996.
Jill graduated from Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in English, a Minor in Theater and a Secondary Education Licensure. She has a full time job juggling being a mom, selling Tupperware, bookkeeper for a local dentist and doing some book work for Hertzler Farm and Feed. Although fast pitch softball remains her first love, she has enjoyed coaching and playing volleyball in several different leagues. She remains a country girl at heart and enjoys gardening in the summers. Obe is the son of Darrel and Sherill Hostetter. The Hostetter's home base is Harrisonburg even though they are currently living in Lancaster, PA. Obe grew up in Swaziland, South Africa where his parents were missionaries. Obe and Jill met at EMU and the rest is history!!! Obe graduated from EMU in 2000 and teaches eighth grade at J. Frank Hillyard Middle School west of Harrisonburg. He enjoys basketball, tennis and computers and has designed several web pages including one for James Madison University, Mountain View Elementary School., Ridgeway Mennonite Church and of course his school's web page, J. Frank Hillyard Middle School. He won the Governor's Innovative Technology in Education Award in 2003 for the way he incorporated technology into the classroom.
